The Characteristics of Container Automatic Painting Process

 The container is a steel structure with a relatively regular shape. The variety of matching coatings is single, and the manufacturing process is a mass assembly line operation. Therefore, it is inevitable to realize the mechanization and automation of the container coating process. Nowadays, container coating has gradually realized the automatic painting of epoxy zinc-rich primer, epoxy middle coat and epoxy inner top coat. Automatic painting has the following advantages:

 

(1) Automatic painting can ensure the quality of the coating film. Painting work in the shipping container spray booth is a heavy manual labor. Painting workers have been in a polluted and flammable environment for a long time, no matter how skilled the operation is, the quality of the coating film will always be affected by factors such as fatigue, health, and personnel transfer. However, automatic painting can avoid the above shortcomings. At the same time, under the condition of automatic paint spraying, higher viscosity paint can be atomized, and a thicker coating film can be formed with one spray, which not only improves the aesthetics of the film, but also improves the corrosion resistance of the container coating film.

 

(2) Automatic spray painting in the shipping container spray booth can improve labor productivity. Automatic spray paint frees paint workers from the harsh working environment, speeds up production, shortens and ensures production cycle time.

 

(3) Save paint. Uneven film thickness is the main factor of paint waste. After the automatic painting, the coating film is uniform, the coating utilization rate is obviously improved, and the cost is reduced.

 

(4) It's conducive to environmental protection. In the automatic spray painting, most people will choose to use the paint with high solid content. Moreover, the viscosity decreases after heating the paint in the shipping container spray booth. It is possible to add less or no thinner when spraying, which reduces the volatilization of organic solvents and is beneficial to environmental protection.
